    The Morey family is one of the most well-known in the Côte de Beaune. The family name can be traced back for more than five generations in the villages of Chassagne and Meursault, and today great wines are produced at both Domaine Pierre Morey and Domaine Jean-Marc Morey. Since the mid-nineties Domaine Marc Morey has been an estate on the rise, under the stewardship of Marie-Jo Morey and her winemaker husband Bernard Mollard.     A pungent nose presently consists of mild reduction, petrol and resin scents and a quick decantation would be beneficial. Otherwise there is admirable richness and volume to the medium-bodied flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel while retaining ample punch on the clean, dry and saline-inflected finale. This recommended effort should drink well young and repay a few years of cellaring as well.
