  • About this winery

Monster Vineyards is a boutique winery located on the Naramata Bench in the British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. The winery came to life in 2006 when the owners of Poplar Grove introduced this fun new line up of wines to the British Columbia market. Raising the bar for fruit-forward Okanagan wines, the Monster wines are fresh, fruity and ready to be set free upon release. Monster Vineyards is conveniently located at the gateway to the famous Naramata Bench wine touring route just down the road...

  • Tasting notes

Ready for a party on your palate? The Brute bursts forward with aromas sweet pineapple and zesty lemons. Your new summer patio companion boasts flavours of nectarines, baked pear, and candied oranges. This snappy sipper refreshes with soft integrated bubbles that leave your guests wanting more. Party on Brute!

  • Viticultural notes

Areas of Okanagan Lake to Osoyoos Lake experienced flooding; the small Haynes Creek, which flows through the Osoyoos vineyards, overflowed and flooded the southern vineyard. Summer came in hot and dry bringing lots of sunshine and one of the most intense seasons on record. Smoke was a common sight starting in early July. The fires were not close which meant no smoke taint. The growing season ended the ride with ripe, balanced, beautiful grapes and another stunning vintage.

  • Winemaking notes

The grapes were harvested at 21.36ºBx. The riesling, pinot gris, siegerrebe, & muscat grapes were gently pressed and then cold settled & fermented at 16ºC to preserve the bold fruit flavours. 6.65 g/l of residual sugar and champagne levels of carbonation adds both richness & excitement to the finished wine.
