Nice and open nose with plum jam, baking spices and black cherries. Palate is vibrant and youthful. Stewed cherries, licorice and vanilla on a supple frame that finishes with strawberry jam.
Another beautiful, warm, dry summer along with a cool autumn, means another great growing season for the Bordeaux grape varieties. There was almost zero disease or pest pressure on the vineyard this year, and the grapes were allowed to hang until achieving optimal ripeness in early October. The vineyard required some shoot thinning in the spring to control the yield and then the canopy was opened up early with leaf pulling on the eastern facing (morning sun) side of the blocks. Some minor green harvesting was completed at the start of veraison to ensure even ripening at picking time.
Grapes were destemmed and crushed before cold settling on skins for 3 days. The wine was inoculated and slowly allowed to warm naturally and then temperature was maintained with a combination of punch downs and pump-overs to optimize colour extraction without forcing out too much tannin. The wines were then pressed to French oak barrels (30% new) prior to completing primary fermentation to mitigate tannin extraction in alcohol phase. The wines were kept on the lees and topped regularly over 18 months before being bottled. The wine was then aged in bottle for a year to allow proper bottle conditioning to occur and bring out the true complexities of this great variety.

Precise and polished, this wine offers up a mix of fig, plum, black cherry, chocolate and caramel. A streak of graphite underscores the polished tannins. Good already, this can be cellared and enjoyed through 2028 and perhaps beyond.See detailed press review

This is 95% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Syrah. The wine aged in French oak (30% new) for 18 months and then another year in bottle before release. Dark in colour, it begins with aromas of black currants, plum, black cherries and spice. That is echoed on the palate, along with flavours of espresso and dark chocolate. Tasted the second day, the wine also revealed flavours of plum jam. Decant the wine for immediate drinking.See detailed press review

Savoury, fragrant, toasted. Expect a potpourri of cedar chips and violets, sarsaparilla and mocha with plump black raspberry and cherry aromas layered with baking spices. In opposition to a sweetly seductive nose, it has an earthy and savoury character on the palate; toasted oak flavour is notable and quite dominant. It has good balance and structure, the finish shows bitter chocolate and espresso.See detailed press review
