In an effort to constantly improve our operations, and continue to develop our regional expertise, Trialto Wine Group has decided to sell its Ontario operation and assets to Noble Estates Wine & Spirits, a dynamic regional agency that was looking to partner with a strong national agency in order to continue its growth. The combined operations will benefit both, Noble Estates and Trialto supplier partners, with increased channel coverage, business service and expertise in the Ontario market. Noble Estates is one of Ontario’s leading wine agencies with an exceptional track record of success in the LCBO and on-premise channels.
Following these changes Trialto Wine Group and Noble Estates are proud to announce they have formed an innovative national wine alliance. The Trialto Wine Alliance will give suppliers in-depth regional expertise and a strong national support.
This is a very important step for us as we wanted to build a strong National Alliance with a partner in Ontario that shared our philosophies, goals and values. This move helps Trialto and our partners reach a stronger presence in that market as we continue to bring the most interesting and innovative selection of premium wines anchored around an aligned strategic vision of the future.
As Richard Dittmar noted “Trialto has always respected Noble Estates as one of Ontario’s leading wine and spirits agencies and it was essential for us to find a partner that shared our values, commitment and passion to build great brands. This is a big step for both agencies and we are excited for the potential this brings our staff and our winery partners”
Along with these changes, we have taken this opportunity to review our structure and have our Executives take on new responsibilities. Strategic Brand management is one important topic we wanted the Executives to be involved in. Going forward our senior leadership team will be directly involved in all aspects of managing your brand and business development in Canada.
Consequently Richard Dittmar will join Noble Estates on a part time basis to lead operations as well as brand management for our major Trialto partners. This will ensure continuity and familiarity for our winery partners in Ontario. He will also take on new responsibilities leading the Western Canada operations alongside Rick Toller as Managing Partner.
Rick Toller will continue to lead Western Canada operations, retain his role as Chief Financial Officer and, remain a member of the Board of Directors of the Trialto Wine Group.
Alain P. Proteau will focus on leading Trialto Quebec and working closely with our suppliers and the SAQ in Canada’s largest wine market.
