For Pedro Parra the purest expression of his passionate devotion to terroir is Clos des Fous, his collaboration with Francois Massoc, Paco Leyton, and Albert Cussen. Although the project is based in Pedro's home region of Bio Bio, 500km south of Santiago, the focus is not limited to making wines from Bio Bio: rather the idea is to discover (or rediscover) and celebrate great unknown terroirs throughout Chile - a vast and endlessly varied country - that is full of the vibrancy, uniqueness, and...
Pale gold yellow with shades of Green. The nose opens with hints of white peach, pear and white flowers. A subtle note of butter complete it’s great typicity. Mouth full of energy. Freshness and brightness framed its balance and complexity. Persistent and mineral finish.
This wines is a blend of two different terroirs, both in the Alto Cachapoal D.O. Our Chardonnays comes from the cold area of the Andes Mountain, providing a Glaciar climate, allowing a natural high acidity to the grapes and less sun exposition. Both Vineyards are high altitude vineyards from the Andes. The first Terroir has a colonial soil, clay sandy, very deep. full of volcanic rocks and peebles, allowing a very deep root development. The second Terroir comes from our Grillos Cantores Vineyard, fully alluvial from the Cachapoal river. Soil is gravelly mix with limestone, very deep roots development.
Harvested by hand from selected grapes from Alto Cachapoal. Fermented by the traditional artisan methods.

(all stainless steel) Green-tinged straw. Lively, mineral-accented aromas of pear and Meyer lemon are joined by hints of jasmine and anise that emerge with air. Silky, concentrated and seamless in texture, offering energetic citrus and orchard fruit flavors that slowly deepen on the back half. Finishes sappy, minerally and quite long; echoes of citrus pith and dusty minerals add closing cut.See detailed press review

The 2014 Locura 1 was already in bottle, a Chablis-style, fresh white with Chardonnay typicity from a slightly warmer vintage than 2013; it is very accessible and easy to drink. There are notes of white flowers and fruit, fennel and aniseed. This is wider, a little riper and rounder than the 2013, as well as gentle and easy to drink. Some 1,800 cases produced.See detailed press review
