Dog Point's Ivan Sutherland and James Healy, the former chief viticulturalist (Sutherland) and oenologist (Healy) at Marlborough's renowned Cloudy Bay, are two of New Zealand's most influential winegrowers. Together with legendary winemaker Kevin Judd they established Cloudy Bay as a New World icon, and during the 1990's it became one of the world's most fashionable wines. When Cloudy Bay was eventually bought by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, Sutherland and Healy departed to create Dog Point....
Fresh pure herbal tinged nose of passion-fruit, grapefruit and white peach with hints of fresh garden peas. The palate is lively and brimming with mouthwatering grapefruit acidity and juicy tropical fruit.

Concentrated sauvignon blanc in quite a ripe style with nectarine, stone fruit, grapefruit, gooseberry and red capsicum flavours. Very appealing and quite textural wine with good weight and a lengthy finish. A class act.See detailed press review

Intense aromatics here with floral, passionfruit notes hemmed in with smoky, matchstick, mineral characters. This is good reduction in action, and it frames the fresh, direct citrus, grapefruit and passionfruit characters on the palate really well. Nice acidity and focus, with a long, bright finish.
