The H Billiot estate is comprised of 5 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards spread across 18 different mid-slope parcels of limestone in Ambonnay. (75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay; 11 g/l dosage; disgorged in June, 2014): Pale onion skin color. Pungent, mineral-accented aromas of dried pear, cherry pit and succulent herbs, with a subtle floral nuance in the background. Smoky and broad in the mouth, offering bitter pear skin and quinine flavors and a hint of earthy rhubarb.
