    July 2015

From the winery block, and from Shaw + Smith's recently purchased Lenswood vineyard (higher and cooler); a hand-plunged mix of whole berry and whole bunches, with a pre-ferment cold soak and post-ferment maceration; matured in French barriques. A caboodle of every type of cherry fruit flavour, round and satisfying, long and well balanced. Needs time.

"This is pinot noir with strawberry, rose, lilac and other flowers. Medium to full body, firm tannins and bright acidity. A wine with tension and style. Needs a little time to soften, so try in 2016"
