A beautiful, almost emerald hue, introduce you to the intriguing nature of this wine. The aromatics explode out of the glass with passion fruit, white and yellow flowers, white peach and a subtle smokiness. The palate is at first bright and zesty with passion fruit and lime, but as the wine builds it shows fresh apricot and nectarine notes, before finishing with lime freshness again.
Hot and dry summer, typical of the Okanagan, but with a cool October allowing flavours to ripen without excessive sugar levels. Through intensive vineyard work, Semillon production has increased, and as a result it was a more prominent contributor to the blend. The Viognier and Muscat were harvested last in October as the season came to an end, but a beautiful ripeness was achieved on both varieties, resulting in outstanding flavour.
This wine was made up of four separate wines that got blended together just prior to bottling. The Sauvignon Blanc portion was barrel fermented in new French Oak barrels with 100% native yeast. These barrels took over two months to ferment and the oak integration was beautiful, giving us a smoky, tropical component that gives this wine such a potent and splendid nose. The Semillon and Chardonnay were both tank fermented in stainless steel to give us a crisp refreshing balance to the mid palate. The Viognier and Muscat were left on skins in the press for a few hours and then fermented in Stainless steel barrels with native yeast only.

This blend is 29% Chardonnay, 27% Sauvignon Blanc, 26% Viognier, 13% Sémillon and 5% Muscat. The wine’s lovely aroma of tropical fruit is immediately appealing. The nose is followed by almost honeyed flavours of passionfruit and cantaloupe. The opulence and the richness on the palate create the impression of slight sweetness even though there is almost no residual sugar, just luscious fruit flavours. The Okanagan’s warm 2015 growing season no doubt helped imbue this marvellous white with an especially luscious, ripe quality that might best be described as seductive. A blend of chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, viognier, sémillon and muscat, it was partly fermented in French-oak barrels for added richness. Medium-full-bodied and almost – but not quite – off-dry, it’s plump with suggestions of pineapple, peach, pear and lychee, lifted by whispers of spicy ginger and toasty oak. Sumptuous, tangy, perfumed.
A sumptuous white blend partially barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay, Semillon and Muscat, this proprietary melange always shows vintage variation - sometimes it is brighter with more focus and others, like this one from the hot 2015 vintage is purely decadent. A confectioners dream of vanilla caramels, mango slices in honey, mandarin orange creme brulee, toasted cashew pralines and jasmine aromas. The palate echoes the nose; weighty and concentrated with mango, rambutan, warm peaches, honey and toasted coconut with a lengthy but zesty finish.
Pair: Asian or Moroccan themed dishes, mild seafood curry, chicken and mango salad or grilled tuna.See detailed press review
