Brand Information

CAVE DE ROQUEBRUN The village of Roquebrun and its wine growers welcome you to wine country. Our vines have optimum exposure to the sun in a village framed by mountains protecting from behind, and with the River Orb flowing through and softening the climate. Terre d ’excellence Established since 1968, Roquebrun’s wine cellars are situated in the Haut Languedoc National Park, 30km north of Béziers and between the two regional capitals of Montpellier and Toulouse. The vineyards are spread over an area of 500ha of south facing, schistose hillsides.

See the CAVE DE ROQUEBRUN detail page for more information on this brand.

Wine of the Week house wine girls

Barbeque season is not over yet so we continue to seek out well-priced wines to match whatever our grilling whims dictate. This week a craving for lamb burgers leads us to the South of France, which is always on our hit-list for value AND charisma. The Chemin des Olivettes combines local workhorse grape Carignan with more distinguished varieties Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre for excellent results. Black currant, plum, roasted meat, thyme and anise pop from this friendly, food-worthy red. August 2012
