Located in heart of the Sancerre region is Domaine Vincent Delaporte and Sons, a family business which has been passed from father to son since the 17th century. The winery is located in the charming village of Chavignol, recognized as, perhaps, the prettiest village in the region and for its famous goat cheese. A deep purple/ruby color, with aromas of ripe red fruits (cherry and blackberry and raspberry), accented by a hint of graphite, cinnamon and coffee. Very round and soft on the palate with finely crafted tannins.
• Harvested by hand in 20k boxes • 100% de-stemmed and manually sorted on a sorting table • Maceration in vats for 5 days at a temperature of 10ºC • Fermentation for 12 days at a temperature of 25ºC, with daily pumping over and punching down, to extract the maximum fruit, color and tannin from the skins • The malolactic fermentation takes place 50% in 228L barrels (Troncais oak) and 50% in tanks
