Cabernet Sauvignon adds complexty, elegance and structure to the blend, while Syrah contributes to the sumptuous palate by adding soft tannins. Carmenère provides the wine's velvety texture and the addition of Tempranillo infuses freshness into the blend. Aging 12 months in French oak barrels delivers fascinating toasted notes with good intensity that meld very well with the fruity notes. Long and vibrant on the finish.
The vineyards are located in the Colchagua Valley. Their soils are derived from granite in differing stages of decomposition, with extensive areas with moderate depths of red clay, and little organic matter, with stones and alluvial sediments at depth, which provides poor moisture retention.
50% of the wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (1st, 2nd, and 3rd use).
