Director’s Cut Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a mélange of red and black berry flavors, cherries, cassis, notes of lavender, and a broad range of spices and toasted oak.
We thought we’d hit the jackpot with the 2012 vintage only to have another incredible season in 2013. Having great weather two years in a row optimizes the vines and is what makes the 2013 vintage even more spectacular than its predecessor. Our Cabernet Sauvignon developed wonderful concentration and is intensely fragrant and well balanced.
This vintage displays a beautiful degree of richness and structure due to the excellent weather during the growing season. The Cabernet Sauvignon blends together small amounts of Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot to enrich the complexity of the fruit profile. This resulted in a full-bodied wine with sturdy tannins, deep, layered fruit character, and a lushness on the palate. The 2012 Director's Cut Cabernet Sauvignon will show best with a few years of aging, but can be enjoyed now after an hour or two of decanting.

A well-made robust red with black fruit and mocha notes. Yes, this is from the producer of The Godfather and other box office hits. The winery is well worth a visit when you’re in Napa next time.See detailed press review
