Viña Montes is a modern-day success story. Started in only 1988, Montes has quickly realized the dream of its founders: pioneering the production of premium quality, “first-growth” Chilean wine respected by critics and trade, while elevating the winemaking profile of Chile on the world stage. Reaching such lofty goals in a very short period of time makes one wonder if the original founders Aurelio Montes, Douglas Murray, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand had an angel watching over their...
Meet the twins: a masterstroke of varietal blending from Chile's winemaking legend, Aurelio Montes. On their own, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon shine, but when paired up, these two classic varieties complement each other perfectly. It's a sensational double bill: wonderful richness, structure and fruit from the Cabernet, with smooth, velvety texture from the Malbec, adding up to a wine that’s greater than the sum of its parts. A wine of vibrant acidity with layers of plum skin, blueberry and blackberry fruit while the oak aging contributes with subtle notes of vanilla and liqueur and its soft tannins provide a specially elegant finish.
Made from grapes in the Colchagua Valley, the Malbec is sourced from the Marchigüe vineyard and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Apalta vineyard.

Opulent, supple, superb.
A superb red with decadent aromas of black raspberry, cassis, violets, sarsaparilla and baking spices, bay leaf and mocha. The palate is equally opulent and liqueur-like in weight and intensity. Supple texture, generous fruit and a luscious, mouth-filling finish.
