Located in heart of the Sancerre region is Domaine Vincent Delaporte and Sons, a family business which has been passed from father to son since the 17th century. The winery is located in the charming village of Chavignol, recognized as, perhaps, the prettiest village in the region and for its famous goat cheese. Today the domaine is run by Jean-Yves Delaporte (Vincent’s son) and his wife and son, Nathalie and Matthieu. Matthieu has recently taken over the viticulture and winemaking. The...
Pale gold with green hints. Very expressive, intense and complex nose with boxwood, rhubarb, blackcurrant, kiwi fragrances and a light vegetal touch (marigold). The entry is soft and round. Bright freshness on the palate, delicate and lively purity. Well balanced and harmonious, it ends with a clean lingering finish.
As a young wine, it is a superb aperitif served at 10 °C and a marvelous companion for shellfish. After a few month of maturation, it becomes excellent with oriental dishes, grilled fish or fish served with a sauce, and sushi. Also very good with roasted white meats and poultry.
This wine should be served between 10 and 13 °C.
The vines have a southeasterly exposure and are planted on slopes that get a great deal of sunshine. Thanks to a diversity of soils types, principally flint (50%) and limestone (50%) and a strict blending of wines from 28 plots, we have brought finesse, aromatic complexity and minerality to this wine. This wine is composed of vines with an average age of 35 years. The consistent high quality of our Sancerre is remarkable and unique in its style.

The Delaporte family has been established in the Sancerre region since the 17th century. Chalk, crisp pears, and chamomile liven up on the nose in preparation for a vibrant palate. Ultra-lean acidity invokes stone fruit, developing a creaminess by mid-palate. The finish is sublimely fresh with hints of key lime.See detailed press review

Textbook Sancerre, with a chiseled, chalky spine that runs through a bracing mix of lemon zest, white peach and gooseberry flavors. Shows a light flicker of straw on the finish, though this stays zingy overall.See detailed press review

Cool and youthful on the nose but fantastic depth on the palate, delivering a wad of tightly packed, restrained but ripe fruit with a long mineral spine. Crisp green apples and spicy pears and quince. Long, persistent, mouth-filling and hugely confident, going into a finish framed in stone. Bravo!See detailed press review
