Trialto and Yealands receive honours at 2016 LCBO Elsie Awards

Trialto Wine Group has won its first Elsies!

The annual LCBO Elsie Awards were recently hosted in Toronto on June 15th at The Liberty Grand. The industry awards recognize top suppliers and agents in 28 categories related to Excellence, Innovation and Community, and showcase their "commitment to customer service and social responsibility.”

Trialto Wine Group was recognized with two nominations for Vintages Portfolio of Excellence and Best Vintages Event. We ended up taking home the Elsie for Best Vintages Event—Barolo Time Machine.

Barolo Time Machine was a walk-around tasting and dinner that we hosted in February. It gave the rare opportunity to taste historic Borgogno Barolo vintages dating back to 1961. Sixteen vintages of Barolo were showcased throughout the evening with Borgogno winemaker Andrea Farinetti describing the nuances of each wine. A fantastic evening for all who attended.

Along with the two agent nods, our valued partners Yealands Family Wines received the honour for Environmental Commitment—an award recognizing their leadership and continuous commitment to sustainable winemaking.

Congratulations to the team!
