90 Points

There is lots of bright cherry fruit and bright intensity in the 2017 Bolgheri Rosso Passi di Orma. Its bold and ripe primary fruit is very enjoyable, if simple, but then the wine unfolds with charm. This is a blend of 40% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc. It sees a brief six months in French barrique. You get loads of richness and dark fruit, packaged with slightly less formal appeal.
