94 Points

A nearly sure-fire crowd-pleaser, the 2016 Orphan Bank Shiraz marries taut, red-berried fruit with elegant overtones of cedar and mint. It's full-bodied but retains lovely tension and freshness while delivering concentrated red raspberries, currants, even hints of cranberries. The tannins are ripe but noticeable, imparting silky but firm edges that channel the fruit into a long, mouthwatering finish.
