This is an ambitious project. One that at first glance could seem doomed to fail. The goal to produce world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from three different regions - Oregon, California and the varieties ancestral home Burgundy - is certainly a challenging one. Succeeding in just one of these regions can be difficult, let alone all three. What makes this project intriguing is the incredible team that proprietor Mark Tarlov has assembled. The wine-making and viticulture in all three regions is overseen by Dominique Lafon of Domaine Comtes Lafon fame in Burgundy. This estate needs no introduction to Burgundy lovers as it is one of the most revered domaines in the Cote D'Or. Dominique was selected as one of the Top Ten White Winemakers in the world by Decanter Magazine in 2006 and is known for his scrupulous attention to detail in the vineyards. He is one of the world’s most prominent practitioners of biodynamics. The teams in California and Oregon are led by Sashi Moorman and Canadian Isabelle Meunier respectively, both having embraced the leadership of M. Lafon. Master Sommelier Larry Stone rounds out the team bringing passion and knowledge gleaned from decades of work in the industry. Since their introduction the wines from all three regions have garnered great acclaim from the wine press
