The 2014 Subsollum Pinot Noir blends grapes from Pucalán in Aconcagua Costa (75%) planted at eight kilometers from the ocean with 10,000 plants per hectare, plus 25% grapes from Itata. The hand-harvested grapes fermented with a long maceration and aging sur lie, and the wine was kept in cement tanks until bottling. There is a leafy side, more a sensation of decayed leaves, a bit musky and earthy. The palate is light to medium-bodied with great freshness that provides a lively, electric sensation and sweet and sour cherry flavors. This is a great value Pinot Noir with character at an unbelievable price.
